Robert Roger Munro, age 69, of Lock Haven, died at Susque-View Home on Friday, Oct. 29, 2010. He was born in Lock Haven on Sept. 13, 1941, a son of the late Clair E. and Thelma I. (Rogers) Munro. He was a graduate of Catalina High School in Tucson, Arizona, a member of the Flemington United Methodist Church, and retired from the U.S.Postal service after 30 years service spent as a letter carrier for the Lock Haven Post Office. He was a member of the National Assoc. of Letter Carriers-Branch 50 of Williamsport, was an avid bowler, golfer, and an accomplished artist. On May 26, 1961 he married Ruth A. (Harm) Munro who survives in Lock Haven. Also surviving are sons: Parrish V. Munro Sr and David C. (Debra) Munro Sr. of Lock Haven, daughter: Kimberly K. Young of Attica, N.Y., 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers: Richard Munro of Mill Hall, Edwin Munro of Virginia, and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by a brother: Clair and a granddaughter: Shannon. Funeral services will be held at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010 with Rev. Larry Cole and Rev. Viola Tyson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Private family internment will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Park at a later time.
