Robert P. Syron

YORK – Robert P. Syron, 63, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Cindy A. (Nye) Syron. A celebration of life tribute service will be announced at a later date. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born October 5, 1951 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, a son of the late Robert C. and Mary (Bohn) Syron, he was a graduate of Kings College in Wilkes-Barre. Mr. Syron had worked as an insurance executive with Continental Insurance now CNA Ins., Horace Mann, and Lincoln General Insurance companies. Having lived in Miami, FL for many years, Robert was an avid Miami Dolphins fan. He was a proud member of Miami Dolphins Fan Club of York and member of Hawks Gunning Club and Victory Athletic Assoc. Mr. Syron enjoyed golfing, watching NASCAR, playing trivia games, and woodworking. Mr. Syron is survived by a son, Daniel M. Syron and his fiancée, Mary Stover of York; a stepson, Kenny Chambers of Gloucester, Mass.; a granddaughter, Jasmyn whom he affectionately called “Princess”; two brothers, Sean Syron, Sr. and wife Linda of Bensalem, PA and Patrick Syron of Bristol, PA; a sister, Michele and husband John Miller of Yardley, PA; nieces; nephews; and several cousins..
