Robert P. Groff

York—Robert P. Groff, 52, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at York Hospital. A celebration of life service will be 7 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, with the Rev. Edward Wible of Chanceford Alliance Church in Felton, officiating. A viewing will be held from 6 to 7 p.m., Friday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Born August 15, 1957 in York, he was a son of the late Richard P. and Viola C. (Gable) Groff. He was employed with the former Bon Ton Food in York, for 23 years. He was a member of the 9th ward democratic club, loved the outdoors, especially fishing and loved his dogs, Jake and Buffy. Mr. Goff is survived by one daughter, Nikka L. Groff of York, one sister, Sharon E. Davila, two brothers, Richard E. Groff and his wife, Kimberly and Ryan J. Groff and his wife, Tina all of York, three nephews, Richard J., and Coby L. Groff and Christopher Weitkamp and two nieces, Jamie Groff and Eliza A. Davila.
