Robert P. Etters

BEECH CREEK - Robert P. Etters, 87, passed away, Monday, December 19, 2016. He was born November 19, 1929 in Monument a son of the late Stanley and Edna (Bechdel) Etters. Robert was married to the former Lillian Kitchen who preceded him in death on Sept., 29, 2014. They celebrated 68 years of marriage together. He worked for Bloomsburg Mills, Champion Auto Parts and Belles Springs Golf Course for 17 years as an attendant. Robert was a member of the Salona United Methodist Church. He enjoyed his family and socializing with friends. Surviving are one son Robert A. (Brenda) Etters of Mill Hall also two daughters Susan M. Lowrey of Benton, AR and Della (Rick) Watson of Mill Hall. Seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, one great-great grandson and an expected great-great grandchild. One brother James Etters of Mill Hall and six sisters, Beverly Rupert of Beech Creek, Shirley Seyler, Dorothy Askins, Relda Kinley all of Mill Hall, Lois Shawley of Lock Haven and Carol Rupert of Montoursville. He was preceded in death by a sister Mary Hanley and two brothers Richard and Lloyd. There will be a public viewing on Friday, December 23, 2016 from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday; December 26, 2016 at the Helt Funeral Chapel with a visitation from 3:30 – 4:00 p.m. Pastor Frank Hartzel will officiate. Interment will be private at Hayes-Fearon Cemetery, Beech Creek. Memorial contributions can be made the Salona United Methodist Church 624, Long Run Road, Mill Hall, PA 17751.
