RED LION – Robert P. “Bob” Hartlaub, 74, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Dixie L. (Snell) Hartlaub to whom he was married for 35 years. Funeral services and burial will be private. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born March 30, 1939 in York a son of the late Thomas A. and Portia I. (Barnhart) Hartlaub, he was a truck driver at Pilot Freight for 27 years and later worked for Carolina Trucking and The Jay Group. Bob was a member of White Rose Motorcycle Club, Viking AA, Prince AA, Twin Springs Hunting Camp in Potter Co., and Sinnemahoning Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing cards, NASCAR, watching football, hunting, and fishing. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hartlaub is survived by two sons, Robert T. and wife Roxan Hartlaub and David P. and wife Tammy Hartlaub both of York; two daughters, Cathy S. and husband Ted Horn of Spring Grove and Zoe and husband Chad Grimm of Red Lion; and a stepson, Shelly Boyd of Red Lion; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; five sisters, Nadine Olewiler of York, Fran Glatfelter of Dover, Gloria Miller of Thomasville, Dee Morris of York, and Sue Anderson of Charlotte, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Herbert, Burnell, and Earl Hartlaub; and two sisters, Gertrude Heisey and Beatrice Wolfe. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
