Robert Leroy "Bob" Radel, Sr.

LEWISBURG - Robert LeRoy “Bob” Radel, Sr., 64, died Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born in Camp Kilmer, New Jersey on July 1, 1952 and was the son of the Late Fred N. Radel and Viola P. (Tressler) Weaver, who survives. On February 12, 1977 Bob married the former Georgia A. (Guffey) and they celebrated 40 years of marriage together this year. Bob was a graduate of Milton High School Class of 1970. After high school he went on to work for the Glen Gery Brickyard, Watsontown and then worked as a welder for C.M.C. of New Columbia for 25 years and then A.C.F. of Milton. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed deer, goose and duck hunting, fishing, gardening, softball, football, racing and hanging out with his best friend and dog; Bruizer on the porch watching the wild animals in the yard. In addition to his mother Viola and wife Georgia, Bob is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Robert L. and Jennifer Radel, Jr. of West Milton, one daughter; Julie of Florida, six grandchildren; Bryson, Brennan, Anna, Crista, Roy and Joette, two great grandchildren; Gavin and Zane, two brothers and one sister-in-law; Clarence and Sharon Engle of New Columbia and Dan Radel of Milton and one sister; Sandra Anderson of Milton. In addition to his father, Bob was preceded in death by his step father; John Weaver In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice. A public viewing will be held from 11:00am – 1:00pm, Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 North Front Street, Milton followed by the funeral at 1:00pm with Pastor Jamie Dries of the First Baptist Church, Milton. Burial will follow in the Milton Cemetery, Milton.
