Robert L. Van Horn, Sr.

LOCK HAVEN - Robert L. Van Horn, Sr., 80, passed away, Saturday, Sept., 20, 2014 at Susque View Home where he resided since May. He was born Sept., 7, 1934 in Lock Haven a son of the late Harold and Gladys (Emmel) Van Horn. Robert was married to the former Dorothy A. Moore who died in 1997. He retired from Renninger’s Cabinetry. He enjoyed woodworking and was a Penn State football fan. Robert was a 1952 graduate of Lock Haven High School. Surviving are four daughters; April (Howard) Welshans of Loganton, Wanda (Arthur) Powers, Karen (Francis) Styers, Kelly (Michael) Johnsonbaugh all of Lock Haven. 14 grandchildren 9 great grandchildren and 1 expected great grandchild expected in February. Two brothers James Van Horn and Larry Van Horn both of Lock Haven also three sisters Alice Young of McElhattan, Barbara Waterman of Lock Haven and Bonnie Kinley of Mill Hall. A son Robert A. Van Horn a sister Edna Bauman and a brother Clarence “Butch” Van Horn preceded him in death. Friends and relatives will be received from 6–7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept., 24, 2014 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. Interment will be private at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
