WINDSOR- Robert L. Manton, 71, died on Monday, February 6, 2012 at his residence. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Manton was born on September 29, 1941 in Philadelphia, a son of the late John and Muriel (Langan) Manton. Robert worked as a Machinist for over 30 years at Caterpillar, Inc. until his retirement. Mr. Manton served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Robert was a member of the Shiloh American Legion Post #791, the VFW, and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 307. He was also involved with HAM Radio and enjoyed going to street rod shows. Mr. Manton is survived by a son-in-law, Brent Nalbandian of Red Lion; a grandson, Jared Nalbandian; and a brother, John Manton of Philadelphia; He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra K. Nalbandian; and a brother, Ken Manton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh American Legion Post #791, 1490 Poplars Rd., York, PA 17408
