Robert L. Lenig

WILLIAMSPORT - Robert L. Lenig, 73,died on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at The Gate House at Divine Providence, Williamsport. He was the loving husband of Elrina L. (Lanthier) Lenig. The couple was married in 1956 and celebrated over 50 years marriage. Robert was born on December 18, 1933 in Williamsport and was the son of the late Robert William and Josephine Mae (Craven) Lenig. He was a graduate of Williamsport High School and had attended both Lycoming College and Penn Tech. He was a veteran with the U.S. Air force. Robert was a former employee of GTE Electronics, retiring in 1989. After retiring, he drove school bus for both the Williamsport and South Williamsport Districts. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Williamsport and always was interested in electronics and building computers. In addition to his wife, Elrina, Robert is survived by two sons; Richard W. and Terry L. Lenig, both of Williamsport, one daughter; Michelle (Lenig) Hoffman of Williamsport and four grand children; Brian Kilgus of Williamsport, Bridgette Kilgus of Milton, David Kilgus of Williamsport and Cathy Jo Lenig of Williamsport. There will be a public viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2007 at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport. The funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, October 15, 2007at the funeral home with a viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. The Reverend Anke Deibler will officiate the services. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Montgomery, with military honors.
