Robert L. Kashner, Sr.

RED LION – Robert L. Kashner, Sr., 73, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Gloria J. (Stanley) Kashner to whom he was married for 55 years.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, April 19, 2024 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Pastor Laura Holtzapple officiating. A viewing will be held from 6-7:00 PM Friday at the Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.

Born July 28, 1950 in Stewartstown, a son of the late Earl A. and Anna I. (Winemiller) Kashner; he was a 1968 graduate of York Vo-Tech. Bob retired from Voith Hydro after 39 years of service. He loved mowing lawns, helping people, and was a member of Water’s Edge United Methodist Church in Craley.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Kashner is survived by a son, Robert L. Kashner, Jr. and wife Marcia E. Kashner of Windsor; two grandsons, Adam Kashner, Sr. and Micah; five great grandchildren, Kaine, Adam Kashner, Jr., Kylee, Mikeaya, and Jeremiah; a brother, Burnell Kashner of Stewartstown; four sisters, Jeanette Gemmill of Red Lion, Fern Boyer of Fawn Grove, Janelle Wolfenberger of Stewartstown, and Cheryl Kline of Florida. He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph A. Kashner; a grandson, Ryan Lowery; four brothers, Frank, Denny, John, and Donald Kashner; and one sister, Gloria A. Blymire.
