Robert L. Erb, Sr.

WELLSBURG- Robert L. Erb, Sr., 75, of Bedford, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Elcor Nursing and rehabilitation Center in Horseheads, NY. He was the loving husband of the late Joan (DuFay) Erb who passed away in 2008. The couple married January 19, 1957 and had 54 happy years together. Bob was born on July 25, 1936 in Bergey, PA, son of the late William and Violet (Lesher) Erb. He was a Master Carpenter by trade, and worked for several different construction companies. Bob attended the First Presbyterian Church of Elmira, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Bob is survived by his children: Robert L. Erb, Jr. of Kingston, PA, Kimberly (Peter) Lewis of Centerville, PA, and Felicia (Daylon) Brown of Stony Point, NC, eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, his brother William (Bertha) Erb, Jr. of Turlock, CA, his sisters: Jean Gamble of Deerfield Beach, FL, and Leora (Richard) Timmons of Harleysville, PA, along with several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joan, and his sister Violet “Tootsie” Erb. Services are private and are at the convenience of Bob’s family. The Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY has been entrusted with arrangements.
