Robert K. Ehly

YORK- Robert K. Ehly, 83, died on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Pro Medica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, North. He was the husband of the late Judith A. (Kuentzler) Ehly. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Certified Celebrant Allison Duke officiating. A viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born on August 23, 1938 in Manheim, he was a son of the late Elmer E. and Irene (Kreider) Ehly. Robert was a driver salesman for Schmidt’s Bread until his retirement. Mr. Ehly served our country for two years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Shiloh American Legion Post 791 and West York VFW Post 8951. Robert was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan. Mr. Ehly is survived by his son, Carey Ehly and his wife, Annette of Biglerville; two daughters, Michele Deme and her significant other, Tim Lau of West York and Robin Mealer of Alexandria, VA; six grandchildren, Arlo Ehly, Justin Alwood and his wife, Stephanie, Aysa Urich and her husband, Michael, Jerry Mealer, Jr., Brandi Goodwin and her husband, Dave and Ben Mealer and his significant other, Maya; eight great grandchildren, Aiden, Ella, Austin, Ally, Alivia, Witten, Rilynn and Alex; sister, Linda Mullikin of Manheim; and several nieces and nephews.
