Robert J. Raynor

WELLSBURG, NY- Robert J. "Rip"Raynor Age 77, of 210 Cross Creek Road, Bentley Creek, PA passed away Friday June 15, 2005 at Phyl-Carlo Retirement Center, Gillett, PA. Bob was born August 1, 1929 son of the late LeRoy and Helen Seymour Raynor. He was married to the late Lois W. Bird Raynor who predeceased Bob on October 6, 1992. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving his country with the US Army. Bob retired from Westinghouse in 1988 where he was employed as an Inspector and previously worked in the Cathode Ray Department. His memberships include the Bentley Creek Baptist Church and the Elmira Heights American Legion Clarence Oliver Post #154. Bob's many joys included his family who loved him dearly. He could often be found working in his yard of the home that he enjoyed so much. Survivors include his daughter, Debra Grimes of Knoxville, TN, sons and daughters-in-law, David L. and Marlene Raynor of Bentley Creek, Douglas and Diana Raynor of Raleigh, NC, nine grandchildren, Jon, Jessie, Mike Grimes, Justin, Jamie, Meg, Dougan, Jon and Emily Raynor, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday, June 19, 2007 from 4 to 7 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. Funeral services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours with Rev. Charles R. Root officiating. Bob will be laid to rest next to his wife at 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 20, 2007 in Bentley Creek Cemetery. Memorials are directed to the Guthrie Hospice, RR #1 Box 154, Towanda, PA 18848.
