Red Lion—Robert J. McDaniel, Sr., 80, passed away, Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Manor Care Health Service-South. He was the husband of Virginia J. (Kravontka) Morton to whom he was married for 20 years. Viewings will be held from 6-8PM, Friday, December 16, 2016 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion and from 6-8PM, Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Kyger Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Nicholson Rd, Elkton, VA 22827. A Graveside Service will be 2PM, Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Elk Run Cemetery, East Spotswood Ave, Elkton, VA. Born February 20, 1936 in Elkton, VA, he was a son of the late Samuel R. and Hattie B. (Hensley) McDaniel. He was employed as a truck driver for several years working with various companies including Eagle Snacks. An avid golfer, he also really enjoyed fly fishing and was a member of the Izaak Walton League of America-York Chapter 67 and Red Lion VFW. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his children, Robert, Michael, John, Terry, Theresa, Katherine, Janet, Jeannine, Lisa, Kelly, Tammy, Kim and Amy and their spouses; 28 grandchildren and their spouses; 21 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Tom; sister-in-law, Margaret and his Aunt Pauline. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Hodson.
