Robert J. Drabic

S. Renovo - Robert J. Drabic, age 81, died at Bucktail Medical Center on Monday, February 9, 2009. He was born in Renovo on August 28, 1927, son of the late Stephen and Mary (Kudrick) Drabic. Bob worked as a welder for the Pennsylvania Railroad, Berwick Forge , and at the American Chemical Corp. in Lock Haven. He was a life member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a graduate of St. Joseph High School. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army, was a member of the Elks Lodge, Moose Club, and the American Legion. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling. Surviving is his wife: Betty Jean (Peterson ) Drabic, one daughter: Linda L. (Robin) Miller of Horseheads, N.Y., grandson: Trevor, sisters: Mary Jane Keller of Mill Hall and Ethel Long of North Bend. Also surviving is his brother-in-law: Ernest F. "Pete" (Betty Ann) Peterson of S. Renovo and several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by one son: Bobby and a sister: Eleanor and brother: Clarence. In respect for Bob's wishes, there will be no visitation or public services. Family graveside services will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. Maxwell Funeral Home of Renovo is in charge of the arrangements.
