Robert H. Zeiders

York—Robert H. Zeiders, 74, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Carol Lynn (Taylor) Zeiders to whom he was married for 50 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born May 4, 1943 in Wheeling, W.Va, he was a son of the late Bertram and Bernice (Morris) Zeiders. Throughout his career as an engineer, he was employed with various companies including Allis Chalmers, AC Valve, Precision Components and with his son Daniel, at National Certified Testing Laboratories. A graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Engineering, he was also an avid Nittany Lion Fan. He loved spending time with his family and was a member of the Society of Professional Engineers. Mr. Zeiders is survived by three sons, Robert T. Zeiders of York, David H. Zeiders and his wife, Samantha and Daniel W. Zeiders and his wife, Christie of York; four grandchildren, Dylan, Logan, Quentin and Zoey; two sisters, Barbara Strawniak and husband, Frank and Sandy Blakey and husband, Robert and nieces nephews.
