Robert H. Bush

LOCK HAVEN - Robert H. Bush, 88, a longtime resident of Miami, FL, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Baptist Hospital, Miami, FL. He was married to the former Mary “Bettie” McElwain. They celebrated 62 years of marriage together. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a retired Educator. He was born in Lock Haven on September 22, 1926 to his parents, J. Lyol and Dorothy (Heltman) Bush. His brother John, sister Dorothy Stein, and his niece Sharon Heilberg predeceased him. He attended the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Miami. He was a long time member of the Clinton Country Club. He is survived by his wife; two sons Kevin Bush of Miami and Brett (Mendi) Bush of Lamar, and one grandson Austin Bush, and niece Lisa Dunkle. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Ellen Evans officiating. Friends and relatives will be received from 12:30 – 1:00 p.m. Interment with military honors will be held at Highland Cemetery, Lock Haven.
