Robert F. Hymie" Wilhelm

FELTON - Robert F. "Hymie" Wilhelm, 72, died Thursday July 3, 2008 at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Marlene D. [Brown] Wilhelm to whom he was married for 50 years. A memorial tribute service will be held at 12:00 Noon Tuesday July 8, 2008 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 251 East Main Street, Dallastown with his priest, Rev. Charles L. Persing officiating. A flag folding ceremony will be provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard prior to the service. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born August 17, 1935 in Baltimore a son of the late John R. Wilhelm and the late Hedwig [Inbierowicz] Rominski, he had worked for Western Electric in Baltimore and then retired from AT&T in Arizona. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church - Dallastown; Loyal Order of Moose, Grunwald Club, Quo Vadis Club, and the American Legion all in Baltimore. He was also active in the Pioneers civic club through Western Electric. Mr. Wilhelm was a die hard Notre Dame Fan and loved bowling, camping, golfing, collecting baseball cards, and going to the casino's to gamble. He was a US Navy veteran of Korean Conflict. In addition to his wife, Mr. Wilhelm is survived by a daughter, Annette F. and husband Robert Schmidt of Baltimore; two sons, Robert M. and wife Diane Wilhelm of Baltimore and Steven D. and wife Debra Wilhelm of Rockwell, TX; five grandchildren, Heather, Sandra, Robin and husband Leonard, Blake, and Blair; a great granddaughter, Echo; a brother, Kenneth and wife Sally Rominski of Fallston; and a sister, Barbara Bryant of Womelsdorf; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 3417-C Concord Rd., York, PA 17402.
