Robert Eugene Shaw, Sr.

WINDSOR - Robert E. Shaw, Sr., 62, died peacefully at his home on Monday, October 15, 2007. He was the husband of Norine M. [Stadelmaier] Shaw to whom he celebrated 43 years of marriage on July 11, 2007. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 19, 2007 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A visitation will be held from 7-9:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Born June 10, 1945 in Windsor Twp. a son of the late Evan and Rachel [Miller] Shaw, he was a 1963 graduate of Red Lion High School. Robert worked 32 years at McCrory's; then Yorktowne Kitchens; and most recently he worked for York Suburban School District. He was an avid gardener who loved his many flowers and ponds. He also enjoyed antiquing, public auctions, genealogy, and his dog Gypsie. He was also a life member of Windsor Church of God. In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by a daughter, Christine M. Shaw and Tom Taylor of Brogue; two sons, Robert E. Shaw, Jr. of Windsor and Chad E. Shaw and wife Dr. Mindy A. Noll of York; two grandchildren, Darryl W. Hill, II and Steven P. Clay both of Brogue; a brother, Evan Shaw, Jr. of Windsor; and a sister, Patricia Ness of York; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Shaw.
