YORK- Robert E. “Bob” Warren, 92, died on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community. He was the husband of the late Jean A. (Pressler) Warren to whom he was married for 63 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard at the start of the service. A viewing will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Mr. Warren was born on April 13, 1924 in York. Bob was a School Administrator for Central York School District until his retirement. Mr. Warren was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church. Mr. Warren served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps. during WWII in the South Pacific and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Bob was an avid golfer and also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Warren is survived by two sons, James A. Warren and his wife, Sally of Ithaca, NY and Steven A. Warren of York; four grandchildren, Andrew, Jenny, Xiao-Lian and Nathaniel; and three great grandchildren, Ashley, Addison, and Aidan. Memorial contributions may be made to Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, 1907 Hollywood Dr., York, PA 17403.
