Robert E. Miller

BROGUE - Robert E. Miller, 67, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at York Hospital. He was the companion of Patricia A. \"Pat\" Milligan. A funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with The Rev. Steven Schmuck of Red Lion Bible Church, officiating. Viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday and 9-10 a.m., Saturday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held in Salem Methodist Cemetery following the service. Born June 17, 1943 in Chanceford Twp., a son of the late Francis D. and Minnie E. (Kohler) Miller, he had been a construction worker and machine operator for Wolford Excavating for 40 years until his retirement in 2005. Mr. Miller was a member of Red Lion VFW, Red Lion Elks Club, Red Lion Legion, Yorkana Gun Club, Pequea Boat Club, A.B.A.T.E o f PA, Brogue Area Jaycees, and other numerous clubs and organizations. Mr .Miller is survived by three sons, Wayne E. Miller of Red Lion, Ronald R. Miller of Airville, and Francis D. Miller of Brogue; three daughters, Betty A. Rehmeyer of Brogue, Wanda J. Connors of Fawn Grove, and Mary M. Florry of Brogue; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; one brother, George L. Miller of Felton; and one sister Mary E. Torbert of York. He was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Curran Miller. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brogue Area Jaycees, P.O. Box 26, Brogue, PA 17309.
