Robert E. Lerew

YORK -Robert E. LeRew, 70, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at his residence. He was the loving husband of Audrey J. (Kornbau) LeRew to whom he was married for 49 years. Funeral services will be private at the request of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Mr. LeRew was born July 28, 1939 in York, a son of the late Paul E. and Cora M. (Derr) LeRew. He was a former employee of Food Fair for 18 years, United Defense for 18 years, and Strine Printing Co. for 3 years until his retirement. Mr. LeRew was a member of York Riflemen, Northeastern Game and Fish Club, Vigilant Social Club, American Legion Post #799, and Viking Social Club. In addition to his wife Audrey, Mr. LeRew is survived by a daughter, Yvette R. Scavuzzo and husband, Richard of York; and a granddaughter, Brieann Fink of Alexandria, VA.
