Robert E. Huson

YORK—Robert E. Huson, 79, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Amoroso Wellness-York. He was the husband of Leona R. (Grim) Huson to whom he was married for 58 years.

Visitation will held be from 2:00-3:30PM, Saturday December 3, 2022 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A private Celebration of Life will follow. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Born April 26, 1943 in Cross Roads, a son of the late John E. and Helen (Reichard) Huson.

He was employed with Caterpillar in Tool Crib Department for 25 years until his retirement in 1996.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf with his friends from CAT. Robert also loved traveling with grandchildren and was a 1961 graduate of Dallastown High School.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Huson is also survived by two sons, Michael E. Huson and wife, Stacey of Red Lion and Stephen E. Huson and wife, Jamie of Red Lion; five grandchildren, Tayler Lawson, Austin Huson and Laken, Grayson and Landon Huson; two great grandchildren, Averie Lawson and Scydle Inch; one brother, Glenwood Huson; one sister, Joanne Hengst and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to SPCA, 3159 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, Pa 17406.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Amoroso Wellness for their outstanding care for Dad over the last year.
