Robert E. Heffner

FELTON – Robert E. Heffner, 78, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at The Haven at Springwood. He was the husband of the late Katherine Y. (Moser) Heffner. Celebration of Life Tribute Services will be private with burial in Pleasant Grove U.M. Cemetery. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born September 26, 1942 in Windsor, a son of the late Mervin H. and Viola P. (Strayer) Heffner, he was a 1960 graduate of Red Lion Area Senior High School. Mr. Heffner retired from Weis Markets. He was a member of Pleasant Grove U.M. Church; Springfield Sportsman’s Club; and enjoyed raising and hunting with his beagles and hounds, and going fishing. Bob also spent many hours tending to his vegetable garden, building birdhouses, cutting firewood and particularly loved family dinners. Mr. Heffner is survived by two sons, R. Todd and wife Nancy Heffner of Felton and Terry E. Heffner and companion Rick Hoy of Baltimore, MD; two brothers, Denton and wife Sylvia Heffner and Lavere Bruce and wife Bernita Heffner both of Red Lion; and two sisters, Delores and husband Marvin Parlett of Red Lion and Linda and husband John Joines of Stewartstown. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mervin John Heffner and Palmer Heffner.
