SAYRE,PA- Robert E. Finogle, 62 of Troy, PA passed away on Monday, June 1, 2009 at the Robert Packer Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Gayle M. (Ward) Finogle to whom he married on September 5, 1997 and had over eleven happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to call from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, June 5, 2009 and again from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday, June 6th at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Bob's life will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, June 6th with Rev. Garry Zuber of the First Baptist Church of Troy officiating and being assisted by Jody Kenyon. Burial will follow in Bradford County Memorial Park with military honors given by the Troy Veterans Honor Guard. Bob was born on March 13, 1947 in Troy, PA, son of the late Benjamin A. Finogle and Dortha J. (Brown) Finogle of Shillington, PA. He was a 1966 graduate of Wilson High School and was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, serving from 1966-1968 in the Viet Nam War. After serving his country in the Marines, Bob came back to Troy and in 1968 started his career with Calkins Motors Co. He recently retired from Calkins Motors after being their service manager for many years. Bob was a member of the Troy V.F.W. Post #714 and the American Legion Post #49, Troy Rod and Gun Club, the National Wild Turkey Federation, the Mopar Madness of the Lehigh Valley Car Club, and was an avid hunter of turkey, deer, and bear. Bob is survived by his loving wife Gayle, his mother Dortha, his daughters: Rhonda Lattimer of Wilawana, PA, Wendy (Jack) Harris of Palm Coast, FL, and Kimberly (Brian) Zimmerman of San Diego, CA, his grandchildren: Tyler, Derrick, Errica, Trey, Tori, Tifani, Korey, Brandi, and Evan, his brothers: Larry (Susan) Finogle of Sinking Springs, PA, Dale Finogle of Shillington, PA, Dewayne "Radar" Finogle of Troy, PA, Rich Finogle of Hamburg, PA, Gary Finogle of Sinking Springs, PA, and David (Kelly) Finogle of Sinking Springs, PA, his sisters: Carol Wentzel of Galen Hall, PA, Barb Finogle of Dallas, PA, Linda (Tom) Zeimer of West Lawn, PA, and Deb (Jay) Schwambach of Mount Penn, PA, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bob was preceded in death by his father Benjamin, his brothers Butch and Jeff Finogle, and his sister Connie Henry. Memorial contributions may be made in Bob's memory to the American Cancer Society, 1948 East Third Street Williamsport, PA 17701 or to the Troy Vet's Club, 1 Veteran's Drive Troy, PA 16947.
