Robert E. Enders

YORK HAVEN-Robert E. "Beaver" Enders, 76, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010 at his residence with his family by his side. A celebration of life service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry with the Rev. Richard B. Starr officiating. A viewing will be 9-10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Lewisberry. Mr. Enders was born April 23, 1934 in Elizabethville, PA a son of the late John H. and Erma S. (Weaver) Enders. He was a former employee of Christ Blazer Plastering and Eternit, Harrisburg. Robert enjoyed gardening, part-time farming, spending time outdoors, and hunting small game near his cabin in Clinton County. He also enjoyed collecting and sharpening knives. His was an avid animal lover who volunteered his time at local animal shelters. Robert was a very resourceful man who could do anything he set his mind to and was an all around good ol' boy who loved spending time with his family. Mr. Enders is survived by two daughters, Donna L. Smith and husband, J.R. of York Haven and Roberta J. Diller and husband, Barry L. of Mechanicsburg; five grandchildren, Derick Smith of CO, Abby Smith of York Haven, Heather Diller of MD, Jennifer Kovaleski and husband, Michael of Lewisberry, and Matthew Diller of Mechanicsburg; a great grandson, Nathan Kovaleski; three nieces, Sharon Shappley of AZ, Karen Fritz of Lewisberry, and Anita Giltner of CA and their children; two nephews, Allen and Keith Enders, both of York County, and their children. He was preceded in death by two brothers Edward E. and John H. Enders, Jr.; and a nephew John H. Enders, III. Memorial contributions can be made to Helen O.
