Robert D. Goolsbee, Jr.

LOWER WINDSOR TOWNSHIP- Robert D. Goolsbee, Jr., 76, of York, died Thursday, April 15, 2010 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Joan (Miller) Goolsbee. The couple celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on May 27th. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion. Viewings will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Baltimore, MD. Mr. Goolsbee was born in Sparrows Point, MD on April 15, 1934, a son of the late Robert D. and Florence M. (Ludwig) Goolsbee, Sr. He retired in 1994 from Bethlehem Steel in Sparrows Point, MD after 42 years of service. Mr. Goolsbee was an avid NASCAR fan, Baltimore Ravens fan, and loved travelling. Mr. Goolsbee leaves two sons, Anthony R. Goolsbee of Baltimore County, MD, Robert D. Goolsbee, III of Fawn Grove; three daughters, Michele D. Bochenick of Truth and Consequences, NM, Sharon L. Godlewski of Baltimore, and Susan C. Scaggs of Harford County, MD; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; cousins, and an aunt.
