Robert C. Woolsey, Sr.

SUNBURY- Robert C. Woolsey, Sr., 82, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 16, 2008. He was the loving husband of Ethel (Miller) Woolsey. The couple married in 1948 and had 60 happy years together. Robert was born on April 14, 1926 in Milton, PA, son of the late Frank and Mary (Wenrick) Woolsey. He was a furnace operator at Milton Steel Mill until his retirement in 1988. Robert attended Mount Deliverance Worship Center in New Columbia and was a member of the United Steel Workers of America. Robert is survived by his wife Ethel, his son Robert C. (Tracy) Woolsey, Jr. of Sunbury, daughters Linda Summers of Paxinos, Barbara (Ken) Sauers of Dice, Cathie Fritzgerald of Florida, and Dixie (Ken) Sims of Milmont, 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, his sister Mildred Buck of Milton, and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Ginger Tower, his grandson Herbert Gauger, and several brothers and sisters. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 7-9 PM on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, Inc. 125 N. Front ST. Milton, PA and again on Monday, October 20th from 1-2 PM at Mount Deliverance Worship Center, 2907 Pleasant View Road, New Columbia, PA. The funeral service to honor Robert's life will be held at 2 PM on Monday at the church with his pastor, Rev. Carl Varner officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Mount Deliverance Cemetery.
