Robert C. Shank, Sr.

E. RENOVO - Robert C. Shank, Sr., 76, passed away Wednesday evening, March 7, 2012 at the Lock Haven Hospital. He was born June 24, 1935 in Renovo the son of Charles and Mary (Rauch) Shank. Robert was married 38 years to the former Margaret Alberta F. Fye who preceded him in death February 4, 2007. He was employed at the Renovo Record and later for the Delaware State News, Dover, DE retiring in 1994. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sons of Italy and the Son of the American Legion. He was an avid sports fan. Surviving are one son Robert C. Shank, Jr. of Philadelphia, one daughter Alice Marie Shank of Renovo and two stepdaughters Sandra Parker of DuBois and Cindy Horne of Reynoldsville. Six grandchildren and several great grandchildren. One brother Charles Shank of Maryland. Three sisters Patricia Hiss of Rhode Island, Judy, Menovich of Maryland, Kathleen Schubert of California. A sister Margie Shank preceded him in death. The funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo with the Rev. Charles Ugo officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner.
