Robert C. Myers

Chanceford Township Robert C. Myers, 75, died at 5:00 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2007, at his home. He was the husband of Lona J. (Mundis) Myers, with whom he celebrated a 46 years of marriage on July 2nd. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with his pastor, the Rev. Patricia C. Bollinger, officiating. Burial will be in Craley Cemetery with military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 to 10 a.m. Monday April 30, 2007, at the funeral home. Mr. Myers was born March 28, 1932 in Red Lion. The son of the late Raymond C. and Josephine T. (Ropp) Myers and the stepson of the late Jennie M. Myers. He worked in the tool room at Olin Corporation as a tool grinder until his disability retirement in 1989. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Craley. Mr. Myers loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He also loved to work at home on his family farm being out in the fields on his tractor. In addition to his wife, Mr. Myers leaves his brother-in-law, Terry Mundis and wife, Linda of Craley; his mother-in-law, Gladys Mundis of Martinsville; two nephews, Brian Mundis and wife, Stephanie and Gary Birkett; and four great nephews, Christopher, Joshua and Nathan Mundis, and Benjamin Birkett; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by a niece, Lora Birkett, in September of 2006. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 N.
