Robert A. Prescott

NORTH CODORUS TOWNSHIP, PA - Robert A. Prescott, 76, of Spring Grove, PA passed away Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Select Specialty Hospital in York, PA. He was the husband of Patricia B. (Eyler) Prescott. The couple would have celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary on September 23, 2007. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18th, 2007 at the Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, PA with a visitation from noon to 2 p.m. Full military honors will be rendered by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Bob was born in Baltimore, MD on September 14, 1931, son of the late Charles E. and Catherine (Murphy) Prescott. He retired as a Detective from the Baltimore City Police Department. Bob enjoyed spending time with his wife, and family and friends. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Parkville American Legion, the Retired Police Benevolent Association, and was a humanitarian and philanthropist. He was a US Marine Corps Veteran who served proudly in the Korean War. His hobbies included wood carving and burning, boating, parasailing, snorkeling, white water rafting, dancing, and shopping at yard sales. Bob is survived by a son, Jonathan Barnes of York, PA, six daughters: Pamela Price of Rochester Hills, MI, Sharon McKinney, of Atlanta, GA, Cynthia Fuller of Owings Mills, MD, Michelle Mechura of Forest Hill, MD, Kathleen Best of Spring Grove, PA, and Kimberly Walter of Broadbecks, PA, as well as nine grandchildren, and a brother, Charles "Ed" Prescott of Baltimore, MD. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard "Dick" Prescott, and his sister, Margaret Loomis.
