Robert A. Lerman

DOVER - Robert A. Lerman, 73, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at York Hospital. Born in Ft. Bragg, NC on November 21, 1943, he was the son of the late Dr. Lee R. Lerman and Helen S. Lerman. He was a 1961 graduate of William Penn Senior High School; a 1964 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University; and a 1967 graduate of George Washington University Law School. He was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar Association in 1968 and practiced law in York for 48 years. Robert is survived by his beloved wife Bonnie of 54 years; his sister Gene Davis and her husband Dudley Davis; his daughter Jessica Loucks and her husband Michael Loucks; his son Alexander Lerman; his grandson Tyler Lerman; his granddaughters Paije Lerman, Tara Shockney and Shandi Paredes; his great grandson Bradley Looks; his dog Bogart; and cat Smokey. Memorial contributions may be made to SPCA of York County, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406 or a charity of choice. A visitation will be held from 7-9:00 PM Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York.
