Rita (Terpak) Miall

WILKES-BARRE-Rita Miall, 87, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday morning, July 25, 2013, at Hospice Community Care, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre. Born in Wilkes-Barre on May 2, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Stella (Waczka) Terpak. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of St. Clement and St. Peter, Wilkes-Barre. She was very active with church activities Rita was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crafts. She previously sang with Donlin’s Pennsylvanian’s Orchestra. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Bud” Miall, who passed away April 27, 2000 and a sister, Marie Guhanick. Surviving are her sister, Florence Stratton and her husband, John of Port Deposit, MD; brother-in-law Joseph Guhanick; nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Episcopal Church of St. Clement and St. Peter, 165 Hanover St. Wilkes-Barre. The Reverend John C. Major will officiate. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Dallas. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre.
