Rita M. Squeak" (Stough) Fife

WINDSOR TOWNSHIP- Rita M. "Squeak" (Stough) Fife, 53, of Red Lion, began her journey with the Lord after her long battle with cancer on Sunday, May 6, 2007 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Butch Ruppert. The couple would have celebrated their anniversary on May 18th. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10a.m. on Friday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion. Visitations will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and from 9-10a.m. on Friday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Rita was born in York on June 17, 1953, a daughter of the late Ivan E. and Pauline M. (Mann) Stough. She was also preceded in death by a brother, George Stough. She worked as a chef most recently for Emerson's Pub; prior to that she worked for the York Moose Lodge, Red Lion American Legion, and Mr. Bill's Quarter Deck. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary at Red Lion American Legion, Hellam V.F.W., and York Moose Lodge. She was a 1971 graduate of York Suburban High School. Some of her favorite things were: her pug, Ginger, going on cruises, camping, fishing, traveling, and collecting spoons and pelicans. Rita leaves a daughter, Danielle Fife of Red Lion, six brothers: Richard Stough, Leroy Stough and Robert Stough, all of Red Lion, John Stough of York, Clair Stough, of Dover and Fred Stough of Felton, three sisters: Virginia Miller and Charmaine Taylor, both of Red Lion, and Pamela Ferrell of Brogue, 21 nieces and nephews, numerous great nephews and great nieces, and her four legged companion, Ginger.
