Rita M. (Hopwood) Roseberry

York—Rita M. (Hopwood) Roseberry, 70, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at York Hospital and went home to our Heavenly Father. A Graveside Service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, October 16, 2015 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd, York. Officiating the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Keith M. Carroll of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in York. Anyone wishing to attend should arrive at the cemetery by 1:45 PM. A viewing will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Born March 14, 1945 in York, she was a daughter of the late Lewis E. and Evelyn M. (Klunk) Hopwood. She was employed as a waitress at Meadow Hill Family Restaurant and as a cook for many years at the Red Lion County Club. Mrs. Roseberry is survived by one son, Barry E. Roseberry, Jr., and his wife, Tina of Windsor; one daughter, Sharon M. Mason and her husband, Joseph of York; one grandson, Ryan Mason; two brothers, Bill Hopwood and his wife, Fran of Maryland and Greg Hopwood and his wife, Annie of Red Lion; one sister, Phyllis Peters and her husband, Charles of Hellam and several nieces, nephews and step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, David L. Roseberry and one brother, Charles Hopwood. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, St. Jude Tribute Program, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148 or VNA Home Care, 540 S.
