Risa S. (Sher) Vivona

YORK - Risa S. (Sher) Vivona, 46, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010 at her residence. She was the wife of Patrick M. Vivona. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with celebrant Betty Frey officiating. A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. Risa was born January 2, 1964 in Spartanburg, SC, a daughter of Jack and Marlene (Browning) Sher. She was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and continued her education at Brenau University in Gainesville, GA, where she achieved her Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy. In addition to her husband and parents, Risa is survived by a daughter, Taylor Lynn Vivona of York; two sisters, Melinda D. Sher of Asheville, NC, and Elizabeth A. Sher of St. Helena, SC; and a grandmother, Iris Browning of Spartanburg, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and mailed to: Susan G.
