Ricky Lee Showers

PLYMOUTH, MA Ricky Lee Showers, 52, formerly of Spring Grove, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, in York. He was the husband of Lynne Showers. Services to celebrate Mr. Showers’ life will be held privately by his family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory is assisting with arrangements. Mr. Showers was born February 3, 1961 in Hanover. He was a 1979 graduate of Spring Grove Area High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the US Coast Guard and served for more than 21 years retiring as a Corpsman in 2001. He later was employed with the US Postal Service in Kingston, MA for eight years. He was also a faithful fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Boston Red Sox. In addition to his wife, Mr. Showers is survived by two daughters, Brittany Griffith and her husband, Ryan of Marietta, Lancaster County, and Cora Lynn Showers of Plymouth; two sons, Ethan and Seth Showers of Plymouth; a granddaughter, Claire Elizabeth Griffith; a sister, Dawn Stine and her husband, Todd of York; a brother, Dayne Showers and wife, April of Spring Grove; his mother, Patsy (Laughman) Kehr of York; his step father, Larry Kehr of Thomasville; and nieces and nephews.
