Richard W. Buehler

POTTSVILLE- Richard W. "Dick" Buehler, 77, of Pottsville, passed away Saturday evening at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Schuylkill Haven. Born in Pottsville on March 8, 1933, he was a son of the late William and Marie Smith Buehler. Dick was a 1951 graduate of Pottsville High School. He was an Army veteran having served during the Korean War. He retired from Hetran- Shalmet, Deer Lake, where he was a draftsman. Dick was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville. He was a big fan of football, loved to read and enjoyed watching parades. Dick is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kathryn M. Goetz Buehler, of Pottsville; his son, John M.W. Buehler, of St. Clair; his three grandchildren, Zoey, Tabitha and Alexander; his two sisters, Collette Dolan, of Philadelphia, and Laurita Buehler, of Pottsville; nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 11:00 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church, 9th & Mahantongo Sts., Pottsville. Reverend David J. Loeper will officiate. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass at the church. Interment will be held in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pottsville Joint Veterans Council, 3 North 3rd Street, Pottsville, PA 17901.
