Richard Robert 'Dick' Sipe

YORK- Richard Robert “Dick” Sipe, 72, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Sandra Lee (Gilbert) Sipe. The couple celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on December 18, 2014. Mr. Sipe was born in York on March 23, 1943, the son of Helen Marie (Strausbaugh) Sipe of York and the late Amos Richard Sipe. He retired, as a forklift operator for the former PA&S Small Company, which became Fleming, Inc., in York. He enjoyed spending time at his cabin where he enjoyed hunting and cooking. He was a Union Steward for Teamsters Local 430. Mr. Sipe leaves two daughters, Beverly Zettlemoyer of West York and Mary Shorts of Georgia; a son, Curvin Sipe of York; two step-children, Angela Smith of Dallastown and Lanny Gardner of Florida; three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a brother, Rodney Sipe of Strinestown; and a sister, Sharon Sheffer of Pittsburgh. He was preceded in death by a son, Mike Sipe.
