Richard P. Miller

ETTERS- Richard P. Miller, 68, died on Friday, September 7, 2012 at Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Beverly K. (Butler) Miller. The couple celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary on June 7. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 863 Lewisberry Rd., with the Reverend Timothy L. Hoffman officiating. A visitation will be from 6:30-730 p.m. prior to the service. Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, 305. W. Front St., Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Born on June 1, 1944 in Delta, he was a son of the late Marion I. (McKinley) Miller and Paul G. Miller, 95, of York Haven. Richard was a welder for York International until his retirement in July 2003. Mr. Miller served our country for three years in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed cars, especially street rods and was a member of the National Street Rod Association. Along with his wife, Beverly, Richard is survived by one son, Robert L. Miller of Red Lion; two daughters, Mandy L. Skander and her husband, Ahmed of New Cumberland and Heidi J. Miller of Etters; two grandsons, Robert L. Miller, Jr. and Maher L. Skander; one brother, Jeffrey T. Miller of York Haven; one sister, Bertha Waltmyer and her husband, Donald of Broque; two nephews, one niece; and one great nephew.
