Richard N. Myers

RED LION- Richard N. Myers, 74, died on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Yorkview Nursing & Rehabilitation. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Kreger) Myers to whom he was married for 40 years.

A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Certified Celebrant Allison Duke officiating and full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard at the start of the service. A visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service.

Born on November 21, 1948 in Jersey Shore, he was the son of the late Richard L. and Jacqueline (Bierly) Myers. Richard was a machine operator for over 26 years at General Defense.

Mr. Myers served our country for two years in the United States Navy during Vietnam.

Richard was an avid football fan, a great cook and enjoyed cars especially drag racing in his younger years. He loved sitting on his front porch and talking to the neighbors and the many dogs passing by.

Along with his wife, Patricia, Richard is survived by two daughters, Abby Myers of Newport, OR and Shelly Kendeffy of State College; two grandchildren, Abriana and Axel of State College; sister, Christine Brown and her husband, James of The Villages, FL; and his aunt, Christine Bierly of Lock Haven.
