Richard M. Alloway, Jr.

APEX, NC- Richard Marvin Alloway Jr., 86, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Cary Health and Rehabilitation, Apex, NC. He was the husband of Elnora (Reachard) Alloway. A service will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2008 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Rev. Sterling Trimmer, Jr. officiating. A viewing will be from 12 to 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Alloway was born in York on July 20, 1921, a son of the late Richard M. Alloway Sr. and Edna Frances (Shorts) Alloway. In addition to his wife, Elnora, Mr. Alloway is survived by his daughters: Patricia Osman and husband, Melvin of York, and Linda Blodgett of Apex; his son: Richard M. Alloway, III and wife, Maureen of Philadelphia. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Lori and Jeffery Osman, Lisa Mansberger, Timothy and Gregory Alloway, Karen Pauciello, Christopher Blodgett, and Tara Moyer. His great grandchildren: Dylan, Jonah, Marcus, Wesley, Brody, Alexandria, Colin, Justin, Brandon, Aaron, and Leannae. His sisters: Ernestine Gemmill and Yola Ludwig, both of York, and Jackie Martin of Texas.
