Richard Lanny Grace

YORK- Richard Lanny Grace, 79, died on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Promedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Kingston Ct. He was the husband of Bonnie Lou (Smith) Grace. The couple wed on February 12, 1965. Services for Mr. Grace are private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on November 2, 1942 in Hopewell, he was a son of the late Wilday and Rosalie (Wright) Grace. Richard was a Pennsylvania State Trooper for over 26 years until his retirement on July 12, 1996. After retiring, he drove van for HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital. Mr. Grace served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He loved spending much of his time post-retirement doing activities with his three grandchildren, driving them to their activities, school, attending their sporting events/performances and so much more. Along with his wife, Bonnie, Richard is survived by two daughters, Lisa Erney and her husband, Collin of Dover and Brenda Nicole Grace-Smith of Sparks, Nevada; three grandchildren, Ryan Thomas Lucas, Brady Christopher Lucas and Shaun Joseph Lucas; brother, Terry Grace and his wife, Peggy of Wells Tannery; and sister, Carol Ruby and her husband, Melvin of Elizabethtown.
