Richard L. Tuell

RED LION – Richard (Rich) Lynn Tuell, 65, of York Township, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 surrounded by family. He was the husband of Tina Tuell to whom he was married for 18 years. Rich was born on January 12, 1956 in Alexandria, VA, a son of Paul and Betty Jo Tuell. He attended Friendly High School, Virginia Military Institute and James Madison University. He participated in baseball, basketball and football from childhood through his college years. After college, he held various positions in sales and financial services. Upon retirement, he drove for ridesharing services. Rich was an avid sports fan, cheering for his favorite teams: The Washington Redskins, Washington Nationals, Pittsburgh Pirates, University of Maryland, James Madison University and West Virginia University. He was also a wine enthusiast and could be found in the Finger Lakes of NY as often as possible. He loved his family and friends fiercely and completely. Rich is survived by his wife, Tina Tuell; mother, Betty Jo Tuell of Abingdon, VA; son, Justin Tuell (Karoline) of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter, Kristen Tuell of Los Angeles, CA; stepson, Christopher Pearson (Jocelyn) of Red Lion, PA; granddaughter, Nikolletta Pearson; grandson, Julian Pearson; brother, John Tuell of Haymarket, VA; and several cousins and nephews. Rich was preceded in death by his father, Paul Tuell; grandparents, Austin & Lorena Tuell; and grandparents, John and Ada Grace Taylor. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11AM, Monday, September 13, 2021 at Living Word Community Church, 2530 Cape Horn Rd., Red Lion, Pa 17356. Officiating the service will be Rev. Aaron Kunce. Viewings will be held from 3-5PM and 7-9PM, Sunday, September 12th at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, Pa 17356 and from 10-11AM Monday, September 13th at the church. Burial will be held in Red Lion Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in honor of Richard L.
