Richard L. Stark, Sr.

Lock Haven - Richard L. Stark, Sr., 85, died, Saturday, October 28, 2017 at The Gatehouse in Williamsport. He was the husband of the late Jane J. Reish who died in 2012. They celebrated 57 years of marriage together. Born March 29, 1932 in Lock Haven, Richard was the son of the late LeRoy and Ellen (Aughenbaugh) Stark. He worked for several years at Hammermill as an electrician, and also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Richard was a member of Lafayette Lodge #199 F&AM, Lock Haven. He enjoyed hunting, vacationing at the Outer Banks with his family, his dogs and cat, and was an avid Penn State football fan. Surviving are two daughters; Joy Winters of Lock Haven and Beth Allen of Howard; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Grace Stark of Lock Haven; and several nieces and nephews who dearly loved him. Richard was preceded in death by a son, Richard Stark, Jr. on July 3, 2015; two brothers, LeRoy Stark Jr. and Harold Stark; and a sister, Helen Hoffman. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov., 1, 2017 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Brigitte Morgan Certified Celebrant officiating. Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.
