Richard L. Crawford

RED LION-Richard L. Crawford, died Thursday, March 26, 2009 at his residence. He was the loving husband, soul companion, and best friend of Goldie M. (Starn) Crawford to whom he was married for 59 years. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Crawford was born September 5, 1926, in Chanceford Twp., the son of the late Howard L. and Lustie C. (Shaull) Crawford. He was a lifetime farmer. In addition to his wife, Mr. Crawford is survived by two daughters, Lana C. and husband, Craig Kilgore of Red Lion, and Brenda J. Caudill of Winston Salem, NC; five grand children, Jody Wood and husband, Junior, Shawn Caudill, and Shannon Caudill and wife, Emily all of NC, Jeremy Kilgore and wife, Danielle of York, and Julie Kilgore of Red Lion; five great grandchildren, Carlie and Jacob Wood, Colton Caudill and Trey Metz all of NC, and Macie Kilgore of York; three sisters, Mary Posey, Doris Gross, and Norma Bupp. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Crawford and Cleason Shaull.
