Richard J. Clarke

BETHLEHEM- Richard J. “Dick” Clarke, 79, died on Friday, January 4, 2013. He was the husband of his late beloved wife, Betty Celona Clarke. Born on December 28, 1933 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late James L. and Viola W. (Shaub) Clarke. Mr. Clarke was a longtime resident of Southwest Philadelphia. Richard worked as a cost estimator for BMY until his retirement. Mr. Clarke was an avid Phillies fan. He also enjoyed hunting, traveling and reading. Mr. Clarke is survived by two sons, Stephan Clarke (Lorraine) of Primos and Scott Clarke(Dana Price) of Collingdale; three daughters, Carol Clarke of Bethlehem, Susan Bertoline (Frank) of Philladephia and Johanne Daley of Bethlehem; six stepchildren, Carol, John, Anthony, George, Michael and Donna; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one sister, Jane Wasson (Robert) of West Chester. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, PA is in charge of arrangements.
