POTTSVILLE - Richard H. Smith, 70, of Pottsville, died on April 29, at his home. Born in Pine Grove on March 11, 1937, he was a son of the late Richard Smith and Amy Rountree. He was a veteran of the Korean War. On October 25, 1958, he married the former Joan Domday, who survives. He was employed as a milkman for Brokhoff dairy and also the Coney Island in Pottsville. He was a member of the St. Patrick's Church. He was also a former member of the Masonic Lodge. Surviving in addition to his wife of 48 years are: four sons, Richard and his wife Beth, of Pottsville, Robert and his wife Maria, of Ellaville, GA, Michael and his wife Felicia, of Prattville, AL, and James of Pottsville; two daughters, Joan Starnes and her husband John Trosterud, of Schuylkill Haven and Debra Smith and her husband Matthew Sullivan of New Philadelphia; 14 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; five brothers; two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 AM in the St. Patrick's Church. Family and friends may call at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville on Wednesday evening from 7-9 and Thursday morning from 8:45-9:45. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville. Contributions can be made in Richards name to the St. Patrick's Memorial Fund, 319 Mahontongo St., Pottsville, PA 17901
