Richard H. Rick" Eberly

Richard H. "Rick" Eberly, 59, of Gillett, Pa., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family.Family and friends are welcome to gather from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, at the Gerald W. Vickery Jr. Funeral Home Inc., 110 West Main St., Troy, Pa. The funeral service to honor Rick's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Gillett Cemetery.Rick was born on Nov. 30, 1951 in Philadelphia, Pa., son of the late Harold and Marian (Kauck) Eberly. He was self-employed as an auto mechanic in the Gillett, Pa., area for several years, and was a member of the Elks-Lacey Lodge in Forked River, N.J. Rick enjoyed the outdoors; he loved hunting, fishing, and boating on Seneca Lake. He was also an avid NASCAR fan and liked watching shows about cars on the TV.Most important to Rick was his family. His family includes: his companion Mary E. Grover of Gillett, Pa.; his daughters, Heather (Steven) Liebers of Horsham, Pa. and Jennifer (Timothy) McConnell of Southhampton Pa.; Mary's children, Mary (Christopher) Logan of Alberta, Canada and Amy (Rinaldo) Rossi II of Telford, Pa.; his nine grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Jack (Joan) Eberly of Feasterville, Pa., Diane (Lenny) Wisneski of Hillsboro, N.J., Nancy (John) Bagliani of Hammonton, N.J., and Kurt (Jackie) Eberly of Virginia Beach, Va.; along with several nieces and nephews. Rick was preceded in death by his parents.Memorial contributions may be made in Rick's memory to the America Cancer Society 1948 East Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
