Richard G. Seyler

MILL HALL - Richard G. Seyler, 92, passed away Thursday, Sept., 6, 2018 at his residence. He was born August 10, 1926 in Mill Hall a son of the late Grover and Ethel (Masden) Seyler. Richard was married to the former Kathryn E. Moore who preceded him in death on November 16, 2009. He was a member of the millwright crew at Hammermill retiring in 1988 after 35 years. He enjoyed gardening, carpentry, listening to country and western records, story telling about “the good old days” and most important to him was the time he spent with his family. Surviving are one son Steven R. Seyler of Mill Hall and three daughters Vicki (Harold) Yearick of Boalsburg, Sharon (Melvin) Culvey of McElhattan and Barbara (Butch) Eanes of Erie. Fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother Clair Seyler of Mill Hall and two sisters Shirley Decker of Lock Haven and Marcia Weaver of Mill Hall. He was preceded in death by four sisters Helen, Geraldine, Betty and Marian. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept., 14, 2018 at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven with Pastor Rick Conklin officiating.
